Counting Rings

This is a 1 to 10 counting work. The child places the rings over the pillars while counting the rings as they go. The pillars will only fit the number of rings corresponding with their number. The work is designed as a circle to physically introduce the cyclical nature of the base ten number system and also arranged clockwise to give an impression for future time learning. The visionary behind this work was Montessorian Shannon Clark.
